Dr. E. C. Reynolds, 84, of Cottonwood died February 19 at 11:55 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born October 29, 1925 in Pocatello, Idaho. He joined the Navy on his 18th birthday and served in the Pacific until the end of World War II. He attended Idaho State University and the University of Wisconsin where he received a PhD in Theatre. He was professor of Theatre at Ohio State, and Chairman of Theatre at both Michigan State and the University of Wyoming. He met the love of his life in Wisconsin and married Denny in 1951. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Carrie, and a son, Peter. Survivors include his wife Denny; daughter Lizette Reynolds of Everett, Washington; son, Michael Reynolds of Sedona; John Reynolds of Rock Springs, Wyoming; Matthew Reynolds of Green Bay, Wisconsin; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was a tremendous actor and director but also loved reading, fly fishing and woodworking. His ashes will be given to the Firehole River in Yellowstone, one of his favorite fishing spots.
