Earl Dempsey Nelson

Earl Dempsey Nelson, 83, of Cottonwood died April 4, 2011. He was born October 7, 1927 in Garland, Texas, the son of Henry and Myrtle Lee Nelson. He served his country in the Navy during World War II. He worked with Nelson Tile Contractor in Flagstaff for many years. Mr. Nelson was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Nona, Nelli, Opal, Hubert, Buster, Foy, Coy and Madeline. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marion; sons Duane (Patricia) of Flagstaff, Denny (Ryn) of Cottonwood and Dale (Diane) of Flagstaff; a brother Wendell of Fort Worth, Texas; sisters Geraldine (Ed) of Amherst, New Hampshire and Shirley of Fort Worth, Texas; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Friday, April 8 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. A Requiem Mass will follow at 11 AM. Burial will follow the Mass in All Souls Cemetery with VFW Post 7400 providing military honors. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Cecilia\u0027s Church, c/o Father Jose Salgado, P.O.
