Edward F. Brundage, 87, resident of Cottonwood, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2007. He was born in New York City, New York on November 17, 1919 to Howard W. and Frances (Dunne) Brundage. Edward served his country during WWII in the United States Navy as a Chief Machinist. He was awarded the Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 2 stars, and the Asiatic Pacific Medal with 4 stars for his dedicated service. Edward dedicated 31 years of employment with IBM as a researcher; during which time, he helped to develop the transistor and later on the development of the computer. Edward enjoyed all types of electronics, and found it to be a favorite of his hobbies. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Adele Brundage; and two sons, Eddie Brundage, and Mike Brundage. He leaves behind his four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
