Aloha Edward M. Harper, 83 of Cottonwood, passed away on May 29, 2016. He was born on September 6, 1932 in Waurika, Oklahoma to Owen Harper and Mary Anderson Harper. Edward attended Phoenix Union High School and ROTC, each for 4 years. He served his country in the Army as Corporal in the Korean War and received a medal for his service. Edward operated engines for a local 428 business agent and local 701 heavy equipment operator. He helped build the bridge on 260. Edward enjoyed fishing, boating, traveling to Hawaii and Florida and family. Edward was preceded in death by wife Stella Harper and parents Owen and Mary Harper. He is survived by sons Edward Harper Jr (Cheryle) of Rimrock, Don Harper (Judy) of Phoenix and John Harper of Broadman, OR; his niece who was more like a daughter Tess Harper (Allen) of PA; 4 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 10:00am at Valley View Cemetery in Clarkdale. Aloha
