Effie Joyce Rose

Effie Joyce Rose, 67, resident of Cottonwood, went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 10, 2008. She was born in Flagstaff on September 13, 1940; daughter of Fred and Florence Cook. She has worked at the Marcus J. Lawrence Hospital, now the VVMC. She was also the office manager of Rose Appliance. Joyce was a faithful member of the Cottonwood Assembly of God Church; where she made many friends and touched their lives with her many special gifts and ministry. She leaves behind her husband of 33 years, David L. Rose of Cottonwood; her son, David L. Rose with his wife, Tracie of Phoenix; her daughters, Joyce L. Winckler with her husband George of Cottonwood, Debra L. Cockrell with her husband, Randy of Mesa, Tamra L. Liggett of Cottonwood, and Kim Lich also of Cottonwood. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; her brother, R. Jay Cook with his wife, Carol; and her sisters, Barbara Cook and Frances Duvall. A Visitation will be held at Westcott Funeral Home on Thursday, March 13, 2008 from 5:00-7:00pm. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 14, 2008 at 1:00pm at the Cottonwood Assembly of God Church. Joyce will be laid to rest at the Valley View Cemetery.
