Eileen K. Moore

Eileen K. Moore, 94, of Cottonwood, AZ was called home to Heaven on Nov. 7, 2013. She was born Eileen Rae Stoll on Sept. 27, 1919 in Yates Center, Kansas, to Ray and Neva Stoll. Eileen was the first of 4 children. Eileen was predeceased by her first husband, Thomas "Fowler" Kesterson, her daughter Charlotte, and brother Alan Stoll. Eileen was raised and educated in the common schools in Yates Center, and most notably schooled in the musical arts, becoming a talented classical trained pianist and lyric soprano voice. Eileen taught classical piano and voice for many years. Her love of music and talent were a gift to all. Eileen married Fowler in June of 1939; they raised two children. In 1965 they left Kansas and moved to Everett, Washington, where they lived for nearly 20 years. Eileen was always very active in her Presbyterian church choir and other activities. Her faith and involvement in her church continued into her later and final years of life. In the early 1980\u0027s Fowler and Eileen moved to Cottonwood, AZ. They enjoyed extensive R.V. traveling in their retirement before Eileen lost Fowler to cancer. In Cottonwood Eileen was a busy, active lady. She stayed involved in her Presbyterian church, volunteered at the Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce, sang with the Verde Voices Choir, and was a member of P.E.O. Eileen met Richard V. "Dick" Moore while they were both attending the Verde Valley Presbyterian Church. They were married Feb 11, 1996. During their 17 years of marriage they enjoyed many activities together, especially travel; both domestic and abroad. Her most memorable and favorite trip was to the Holy Land. Eileen is survived by her husband, Richard; son, Phillip Kesterson and his wife Karen; granddaughter, Denise Stevens and her husband Don; Richard\u0027s children and grandchildren, and Karen and Phillip\u0027s children and grandchildren, who all considered her "my grandma". She also is survived by her brother Laurence Stoll and his wife Lucille; her sister Shirley Elder and her husband Royal and their families. A service in celebration of Eileen\u0027s life will be Saturday, November 23rd, 2013 at the Verde Valley Presbyterian Church at 1:00 in the afternoon.
