Eleanor H. Becht, 93, resident of Cornville, Arizona, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2006 in the Village of Oak Creek-Sedona, Arizona. She was born February 5, 1913 to John Franklin and Bertha (Bechman) Stephan in Madison, Indiana, where she grew up and attended the Madison School District. Eleanor worked as a bookkeeper, and homemaker. She was a member of the Village Park Baptist Church in the Village of Oak Creek. Eleanor was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law who will be missed more than anyone in the world. Eleanor is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Becht, Jr.; her parents, Frank and Bertha; as well as her sister, Dorthy Stephan. She leaves behind her daughters, Dorthy Moore with her husband, Paul of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Betty Hammons with her husband, Bob of Cornville, Arizona; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 11:00am at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave., in Cottonwood. Donations can be sent to: Y.E.S.
