Eleanor B. Norton

Eleanor B. Norton, 98, of Cottonwood, Arizona died July 19, 2005. She was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts on March 1, 1907, daughter of Herbert and Alida (Overton) Binney. She graduated from Newton-Wellsley Hospital in Newton, Massachusetts with her Registered Nurse\u0027s degree. She was a nurse at Hartford Hospital. She lived in West Hartford for forty-four years before moving to Colchester in 1977, then Estero, Florida in 1997 and Cottonwood, Arizona in 1999. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; her son Robert and his wife Yoshiko; her brother John and his wife, Marie; she leaves her daughter, Charlotte N. Harger of Cottonwood; her grandchildren Jennifer H. Fitts and her husband David of Raleigh North Carolina; Paul N. Harger and his wife Laura of Tolland, Connecticut and Robert L. Norton Jr. and his wife Momoyo of Brooklyn, New York. She also leaves three Great Grandchildren, Katelin Eleanor Fitts, Andrew Douglas and Ashley Elizabeth Harger. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, August 13, 2005 at 2:00 PM at at The First Baptist Church, 90 N. Main Street, West Hartford, Connecicut. She was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of the First Baptist Church or a chairity of your choice. Special thanks are given to Wanda and Carl who gave such loving care to Eleanor over the past six months. Westcott Funeral Home handled these arrangements.
