Elizabeth A. Beresford, 74, of Cottonwood died January 10. She was born October 27, 1933 in California, the daughter of Charles and Louise Sly. Mrs. Beresford earned a real estate license. She and her husband Hugo Beresford owned and operated automotive stations and restaurants. She excelled at raising a family as well as managing the family owned businesses. She was an avid reader and a wonderful friend to all. Mrs. Bereford always maintained her beliefs with the Catholic Church and enjoyed knitting, crochet, gourmet cooking, home-decorating and also enjoyed socializing with her friends. Her husband, Hugo, preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, Charles Johnson and a daughter, Aviella Shomayr, both of Arizona. Private observances will be held out of state.
