Elizabeth Hannah McNary, of Payson, a former resident of Cottonwood, died December 12 in her home in Payson. She was born March 26, 1913 in Collierstown, Virginia, the daughter of Samuel B. and Caroline (Moore) Hannah. She had worked as a librarian for the Mesa School District and the Window Rock School District in Arizona. She came to Arizona when she was 15. Mrs. McNary was a member of the Verde Valley Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed knitting and sewing. She loved her husband and family. Her husband John A. McNary and her sister Mary Meisenheimer preceded her in death. She leaves a son, John and daughters Carolyn and Patricia, one niece, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
