Elmer "Al" L. Davis, 86, of Cottonwood died November 1. He was born July 16, 1922 in Lynn, Massachusetts, the son of Charles Elmer Davis and Louisa M. Davis. He was a graduate of Lynn public schools and then studied as a General Electric Apprentice for four years. Mr. Davis served in his country as a corporal in the US Army. He went on to work for General Electric for sixteen and a half year and then for Rockwell International for 20 years, working on defense systems. He was a Fellow of the National Contracts Association. His hobbies included cars, organ playing, sailing and tennis. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rachel J. Davis; two sons, Ken M. (and his wife Bernadette) Davis of Phoenix and Joel S. (and his wife Constance) Davis of Jacksonville, Florida; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Private family services will be held.
