Elmer D. Storm, 86, resident of Cottonwood, AZ passed away Saturday, December 30, 2005. He was born on May 6, 1919 in Rockwell City, Iowa to George and Mabel Storm. While in Iowa, Elmer did some farming, and he was a produce owner. In California, he was a mechanic for the Garden Grove Unified School District, as well as, for a local lawn equipment rental business. Elmer worked for the City of Cottonwood as a volunteer and received Public Service Awards for his services. He was the president of a P.T.A. in Iowa while his children were growing up, and he was a faithful member of the One in Christ Church in Cottonwood. He enjoyed his work as a mechanic, but he also enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping, traveling and activities with his family. Elmer is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Margaret E. Storm. He leaves behind his sons, Kent Storm of Tustin, CA, Alyn Storm of Cottonwood, AZ, and Terry Storm of Port Orchard, WA; his daughter, Sondra Colvin of Fullerton, CA; his brother Hugh Storm; his sisters, Ruth Boyd, Helen Heideman, Mabel Hammen and Dorothy Zierke, as well as 5 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A Visitation will be held at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood, AZ on Friday Evening, January 6, 2006 from 6:00-8:00 pm. Funeral Services will follow Saturday morning, January 7, 2006 at the One in Christ Church in Cottonwood, AZ at 10:00am, afterwhich, Elmer will be laid to rest at Heritage Memorial Park in Dewey, AZ.
