Emma A. Ochoa, 96, of Cottonwood died September 29. She was born January 15, 1907 in Jerome Arizona. She worked for many years at the former Marcus J. Lawrence Hospital (now Verde Valley Medical Center) in the cafeteria and was head cook for several of those years. Mrs. Ochoa was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and enjoyed wood finishing, macrame, baking, growing African violets and gardening in general. She also loved to travel or just go out for a ride. Her husband, Ernest C. Ochoa preceded her in death. She leaves two daughters, Ernestine Simpson and Patricia Hackensmith; four sons, Robert Ochoa, Charles Ochoa, Ray Ochoa and Richard Ochoa; a sister, Aurelia Ballesteros; seventeen grandchildren and 26 Great-grandchildren. The Rosary will be recited, followed by a funeral service on Friday, October 3 in the Westcott Funeral Home at 10 A.M. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery.
