Emil "Skip" Filoseta, 67, of Cottonwood, Arizona passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday November 30. Skip predeceased his beloved wife Mary Jo (Halverson) Filoseta who he married in June of 2012. Four children and eight grandchildren are part of the legacy of his life. Skip will be interred with full military honors at the Veterans Cemetery in Prescott, AZ. Skip was born on August 23, 1946 in New York City to Joseph N. and Helene J. Filoseta who both predeceased him. He was one of four children and is survived by his siblings, Linda Gardner of Clarkdale, AZ, Michele Filoseta Viscecchia of Freeport, NY and Joseph G Filoseta of Seattle, WA. Skip met Mary Jo at the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, an organization in which they were both socially active prior to being married in a ceremony in Sedona, AZ. His nearby local Lodge #1361, Jerome, AZ is planning a life celebration event and dinner at 3:00 PM on Saturday January 11, 2014. The Lodge is located at 100 S Broadway in Clarkdale, AZ. Skip will be remembered by those who knew him as a person with a good heart. He was a man of many words and strong opinions and never failed to share them with anyone he met along the path of life.
