Emma DeHaven Berger

Emma DeHaven Berger, 95, of Cottonwood passed away June 9, 2015. She was born January 2, 1920 in Wissahickon, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Winfield Scott DeHaven and Mildred Beatty Springer. Emmie\u0027s life is now in heaven where she often talked about going, face to face with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a graduate of Roxborough High School and went on to serve her country in the Army receiving the rank of Sergeant during World War II. She received the World War II Victory Medal, TWX WD American Campaign Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. Emma was a recipient of the 2014 Honor Flight to Washington, DC to visit the World War II Monument. Emmie went on to work for Republic Production, Inc. A member of the Verde Baptist Church, she is remembered as a friend to many and loved by many. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Edward Gleason and Arthur Berger. She is survived by a son, Jeffrey Gleason of Phoenix. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, June 19 in the Westcott Funeral Home at 1 PM.
