Emmett B. Killingsworth

Emmett Bradford Killingsworth, 91, of Cottonwood, Arizona passed away September 8, 2009. Born in Walnut Grove, Missouri, the son of William Claude and Etta Lee (Dickey) Killingsworth. Preceded in death by his wife June of 52 years; three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Freida; daughters Charlotte Lee Kirsch (Arthur) of Palo Alto, California, Linda Joy Brown (Patrick) of Georgetown Texas; stepdaughter Janet Funderburg (Lester) of Whittier, California and stepson Jim Claybaugh of Cornville, five grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. He enjoyed hiking and fishing and was an avid birdwatcher. He served in the U.S. Army\u0027s 12th Armored Division during World War II, moved to California from Blue Island, Illinois following his discharge and then to Arizona in 1982. Mr. Killingsworth worked in commercial air conditioning and refrigeration. His interest include hiking, fishing and birdwatching. He helped with Meals on Wheels in Cottonwood with the Cottonwood Senior Center and also Meals on Wheels in Springfield, Missouri. A graveside service with military honors will be held Monday, October 26 at the Prescott National Cemetery at 11 AM. An online guestbook is available at www.westcottfuneralhome.com
