Ernest H. "Ernie" Hill, 82, of Clarkdale died November 19. He was born October 19, 1926 in Flagstaff, the son of Herschel T. and Anna V. Hill. He attended St. Anthony\u0027s School in Flagstaff, graduated from Flagstaff High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Arizona. A naval veteran of World War II, he left the service with the rank of Lt. Commander from the Naval Reserves. Mr. Hill was employed by APS from 1950 to 1982. A member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus for 54 years and was a Fourth Degree member. His was an avid hiker and was a member of the Skyliners Hiking Club. His other interests included photography, gardening, the Naval Reserve, and was founder of APS\u0027 Kactus Kickers. Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Margaret Hill and a son Timothy James Hill. He raised two families upon his marriage to his wife of 31 years, Mary Beth Hill. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Thomas J. Hill (and his wife Elizabeth) of Pearland, Texas, Gregory P. Hill (and his wife Pamela) of Tucson and John Zinnikas (and his wife Jenny) of Phoenix; daughters, Pamela Ann Hill of Parker, Colorado, Judy L. Borrelli (and her husband Nick) of Escondido, California and Peggy Ann Baker of Olympia, Washington; a brother, George T. Hill (and his wife Patricia) of Prescott; and nine grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 23 in the Westcott Funeral Home from 5-7 PM. The Rosary will be recited at 6 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 24 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in All Soul\u0027s Cemetery with military honors.
