Erwin Gramlich

Erwin Grimlich, 82, resident of Camp Verde, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 in Cottonwood. He was born November 19, 1924 in Greenwich, Connecticut to John and Clara (Stewart) Grimlich. Erwin was proud to be a United States Army Veteran; having served his country during WWII as a Corporal with Patton's Army in Germany and France, and attached to Troop B 19th Calvary. He was awarded the European Theater Ribbon with 2 bronze stars, the American Theater Ribbon, the Good Conduct Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. Erwin enjoyed woodworking, and was a loving husband and father. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Claire Grimlich of Camp Verde; his daughter, Susan Ayers with her husband, Steven of Camp Verde; and his brother, Allen Grimlich with his wife, Margarete of Greenwich, Connecticut.
