Ethel M. Turley, 82, of Cottonwood died February 28. She was born in Boston, Michigan on July 27, 1921. She attended the Tamarac School in Tamarac, Michigan. She lived in Flagstaff from 1945 to 1983 until moving to Cottonwood. Mrs. Turley worked was a retired waitress at the Lumberjack Cafe in Flagstaff. She was of the Lutheran faith and enjoyed crocheting, gardening and baseball. Her husband, Sheldon O. Turley preceded her in death. She leaves a son, James G. Chadbourne of San Diego, California; a daughter Livi Gonzales of Cottonwood; two brothers, Melvin G. Sleep of Mimbres, New Mexico and George G. Sleep of Idaho; three sisters, Doris Goodrich of Cottonwood, Verna Ellsworth of Cottonwood and Emma Crose of Prescott; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Private family were held. Westcott Funeral Home assisted the family with these arrangements.
