Eugene C. Buehrer, 88 of Cornville, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015 at his home in Cornville. He was born on October 24, 1926 in Seward, NE. Gene proudly served his country in the US Navy as a Machinist Mate 1st Class during WWII \u0026 the Korean Conflict. He was stationed on the USS New Orleans on the USS Catamount during his time in the service. After his Naval Service, Gene began his career as a civilian with the US Army, and worked at Sioux Army Depot, Nebraska, Belmont Army Depot, Flagstaff and Fort Davis, Panama Canal Zone. Gene was a lifetime member of the Elks, and an avid Rodeo fan. He was a very talented woodworker and prolific woodcarver. He was a longtime member of the Verde Valley woodcarvers, a group he loved and enjoyed getting together with. Gene was preceded in death by his wife Sandra (Montgomery) Buehrer and his brothers Grant Buehrer and Dale Buehrer. He is survived by daughter Leslie Bagley and her husband Dan; son Matthew and his wife Lenore; brother Jerome Buehrer and his wife Suszie; sister Shirley Walker and late husband Ivan; and grandchildren Anthony Bagley and his wife Samantha, Emma Bagley and her partner Jason and Paige Buehrer and her partner Keenan.
