Faye E. Kelly, 88, a resident of Cottonwood, Az., passed away Saturday, November 10th. Faye was born February 25, 1924 to Charles and Clara Wingert in Sioux City, Ia. She had 4 sisters and 1 brother. In 1941, Faye graduated from Central High in Sioux City and in December 1945 moved to Phoenix, AZ. and married the love of her life, Walter C. Kelly. Mrs. Kelly was employed by the Arizona Public Service and retired after 25 years of dedicated service. While in the Phoenix area, Faye belonged to Scottsdale #43 Eastern Star and Qadish Temple #35, Daughters of the Nile. In September of 1991 she and Walt moved to Cottonwood, Az. and were known to many in the area. Faye was a true gem in every sense of the word and was always available to help and care for others. Her life with Walter was a true love story, knowing each other since they were 15 years old and being married for 66 years; they were forever soul mates. Faye and Walter were devout members of Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church in Clarkdale. A Celebration of their Life will be held at 9:30 on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church.
