Forrest Dale Hunter

December 13, 1937 — June 6, 2012

Forrest Dale Hunter, 74, passed away at home in Cottonwood, Arizona on June 6, 2012. At the beginning of his brief battle with cancer, he said simply, "I\u0027ve had a good life." Those words were absolutely true of the long time Verde Valley resident. Born in Prescott, Arizona, Dale was an avid hunter who loved the outdoors. Professionally, he spent thirty years working in the banking industry before starting a second career with the Yavapai-Apache Gaming Commission. He was also a valued member of the community, serving on the Yavapai-Apache Sand and Rock Board, the Yavapai County Planning and Zoning Commission, the Cornville Page Springs Fire Board, the Chambers of Commerce in Page, Williams, Sunnyslope and Camp Verde, and a variety of other organizations. Dale is survived by his wife, Wanda Hunter, his four daughters Traci Hunter Abramson (Jonathan), Tiffany Hunter, Stephany Osborn (Chris), Candy Geisbusch (Ian) and eleven grandchildren. He is also survived by two siblings Sam Hunter and Susan McNeill. Services will be held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 889 1st South St., Clarkdale, AZ on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 11:00am.
