Frank M. Cartwright entered the world on May 23, 1916 and went to join his Lord on May 27, 2011. He was preceded by his father, Frank T. Cartwright, mother, Mary E. Morris, sister, Naomi Cartwright, and brother, Phillip J. Cartwright. He was also preceded by his first wife of 57 years, Nora Catherine Nicholls and his second wife of six years, Ellen Felts. He was born in Racine, WI and spent the first twelve years of his life in China where his father was a Methodist missionary. He then spent the rest of his growing up in Maplewood, NJ. He graduated an engineer from the School of Mines from what is now the Michigan Tech, Houghton, MI in 1940. He married Nora Catherine on August 1, 1941 in Jerome, AZ. He was called to the ministry and graduated from Union Theological Seminary in 1951. The churches that he served are: Ajo Federated Church, Ajo, AZ, 1951-1964; St. Paul\u0027s United Methodist Church, 1964-1967; Garfield United Methodist Church, 1967-1975 and served the Clarkdale and Jerome United Methodist Churches until he retired in 1982. He is survived by his three children, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Though he was recently honored in life, a memorial service is pending.
