Frank Magnan, 86, of Cottonwood, AZ, passed away on March 1, 2011, at the Verde Valley Medical Center. Born on April 24, 1924, in Chicago, IL, to Albert and Marguerite Magnan, Frank moved to Arizona in 1951. Frank was married to Rita Magnan for 42 years at the time of her passing in 1987. Frank is survived by wife Sue Magnan; nine children and their spouses, Mike and Karen Magnan, Bill and Martha Magnan, Nancy and Mike Friends, Kathleen and Tim Brace, Terry Magnan, Jim and Christie Magnan, Rick and Barb Magnan, John and Alex Magnan, and Peggy and Alan Nelson; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Frank served as a pilot in the Army-Air Force during World War II, achieving the rank of 1st Lieutenant. After an honorable discharge, Frank worked as an electrician and was active at St. Gregory\u0027s Catholic Parish in Phoenix. Frank will be remembered for his love of travel, as a regular visitor to National Parks, and as an avid Cubs fan. Donations may be sent to St. Jude Children\u0027s Research Hospital. A family celebration of Frank\u0027s life will be held at a later date.
