Frederick Gomez

Frederick D. Gomez Sr. June 1, 1926-January 5, 2014 Fred was born in Lamont County, CO to Stella and Jose Gomez. He was raised in Phoenix, AZ. Fred joined the U.S. Navy in 1943 serving in World War II and was stationed in the South Pacific. Fred married Rose Franco Sanchez of Globe, AZ upon his discharge from the Navy. He later moved his family to Flagstaff, AZ. He is survived by Rosemary Sanchez-Logan (Danny Logan) and Adele Sanchez De La Cruz (Agapito De La Cruz) of Flagstaff; Frederick D. Gomez Jr. (deceased), Delores Gomez Cordova of Cottonwood, AZ and Santiago R. Gomez (Josephine) of Mesa, AZ. Fred has 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Fred was the last surviving child of his parents and eight siblings; Mary, Luz, Mike, Lupe, Manuel, Rose, Joe and Ray, who provided him with many nieces and nephews.
