Frederick L. Thompson

Frederick L. Thompson, 76, passed away November 28, 2011 in Cottonwood, AZ. He was born in Greenfield, MA on July 23, 1935. He served his country in the US Army from 1953-1956. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion, Amvets, Eagles and the Moose Lodge. He was retired from the Teamsters Union and IBEW, and spent 30 years working on the Alaska Pipeline before moving to Cottonwood in 1997 to purchase the Chapparal Bar. Fred was always a very giving person who cared for his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife June C. Thompson; a son, William Thompson and family of Colorado; a step-son, Chris Trease and family of Nevada; and numerous friends in Alaska and Arizona. He will be forever loved and missed. There will be a celebration of life at the VFW Post 7400 on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
