George Frasca, 86, of Cottonwood, died August 15 at his home. He was born February 18, 1923, in Martone, Italy, the son of Giuseppe and Maria Rosa Frasca. He was a graduate of Darien High School and Colgate University. He also attended Manhattan Community College and Norwalk Community College. He served his country in World War II as a corporal in the Air Force. Mr. Frasca was a trade school instructor in auto mechanics until he retired. An active member of the Verde Baptist Church, he helped there as an usher. He loved working outdoors, he loved his family and he loved his church. Mr. Frasca was a Christian Outreach volunteer for different organizations. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Christine Frasca; and a son, Jonathan Brown Frasca. He is survived by his wife of nine years, Linda, Frasca; a son, Donald George Frasca (Gloria) of Cottonwood; daughters Mary Christine Grace (Julian) of Houston, Texas, Betty Ruth Ruiz Velasco (Francisco) of Helotes, Texas and Susan Mae Carter (Russell) of Cottonwood; a sister, Rose Andrus (Clarence) of Darien, Connecticut; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 22, at the Verde Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. Donations in his memory may be made to the Northern Arizona Hospice, 269 S.
