George Edward Helm

George Edward Helm, 84 of Rimrock, died November 11, 2010 in Cottonwood Hospital. He was born May 8, 1926 in Mayer, Arizona to Floy May Foster and George Heney Helm where they lived and worked at both Childs and Irving Power Plant in Fossil Creek where he lived and grew up along with his brother Bill Helm of Camp Verde and sister Barbara Mills of Kingman. He attended school at Clarkdale and Camp Verde. In 1955 he started work at Happy Jack, AZ as a Log Truck driver for 30 years until losing eyesight in 1985. He loved to visit, hunt, fish and fly his airplane. He is survived by the love of his life Dorothy; married for 63 years. He had 4 children; Volly and wife Karen Helm of Rimrock, Joe Helm of Kingman, Charlsa and Gus Phillips of Pine, AZ and Pat and Joe Leigh of Rimrock. He had many grandchildren and even more great-grandchildren. He was a warm, kind loving person and never met a stranger. He will always be remembered for his kindness and love of people and life. A visitation will be held at Westcott Funeral Home on Sunday, November 14 at 1:00pm with a service following at 2:00pm. Burial will be at Pine Cemetery in Pine, Arizona.
