George B. Evans Jr

George B. Evans Jr. of Camp Verde passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014. He was 84 years old. George was born on March 5, 1930 in Dearborn, MI to George Burton Evans Sr. and Adelaide Evans. George served his country in the Marine Corps as a Corporal in Korea. He was awarded the Purple Heart after being wounded in action. He worked as an illustrator draftsman until his retirement. George was preceded in death by both of his parents. He has no living family, but he is survived by many dear friends. A memorial service will be held to honor his memory on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave., Cottonwood, AZ 86326 at 2 P.M.
