Gilbert W. Ross

Gilbert W. Ross of Cottonwood passed away on Thursday July 31, 2014. He was 74 years old. Gilbert was born on April 20, 1940 in Chicago, IL to Jack and Eleanor Ross. He attended and graduated from Chicago Public Schools. After school, Gilbert served his country in the U.S.A.F. as a Private First Class. Later, Gilbert worked as a dispatcher for the Cottonwood Police Department from 1988-2003. He was a musician and played drums, keyboards and bass. Music was one of his greatest interests. Gilbert was preceded in death by his wife, Geri Louise Ross and his parents. He is survived by his son, Kenneth (Ashley) Ross of Phoenix, AZ, his daughters, Karyn (Chris) Burke of Stafford, VA and Kathryn (Ozeas) Dasilva of Goodyear, AZ, 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
