Glenda Jean Porter

Glenda Jean Porter, born March 28, 1947 to Carl and Doris Cody of Peoria, IL, passed away on December 11, 2010. She was a graduate of Manual High School. She married Howard Houston and had two sons, Howard Jr. and Scott. Howard Sr. preceded her in death in 1973. She remarried in 1976 to Vern Porter and moved to Clarkdale, AZ where they have lived in the same home for 34 years. Her favorite time was spent with her grandchildren and friends. During her career she worked in the cafeteria for Mingus Union High School for many years and ran the snack bar at Yavapai Community College. She enjoyed crafting and gardening. She is survived and dearly loved by her husband Vern Porter; 2 sons Howard and Scott of Arizona; 8 grandchildren: Cody, Kyle, Madisen, Kaydee, Jacie, Hailey, Derryon and Kimora; 3 sisters Linda Porter of Pekin, IL, Brenda Tucker and Farmington, MO and Rhonda Cody of Seattle, WA and 2 brothers Jerry Cody of Enterprise, KS and Carles Cody of La Porte, IN.
