Glenn O. Wright

Glenn Oliver, "G.O." Wright, 91, of Cornville died January 2. He was born December 23, 1917 in Buckeye, the son of Edward H. and Reathy R. Wright. During World War II, He served five years in Panama and in Iceland in the Army. He enlisted as a private in the infantry and rose to the rank of Captain in the Corps of Engineers. Mr. Wright was a self employed building contractor. He was a member of the Verde Baptist Church and its building committee. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, exploring, spending time with his family and reading the Bible. Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth. He leaves two sons, Kim Grant (Carol) Wright of Clarkdale and Phillip Curtis (Maija) Wright of Cornville; two sisters, Nellita Wright Stoye of Phoenix and Mary Wright (Rol) Speckman of Fairfield, California; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 7 in Cottonwood Cemetery at 11 AM. Donations in his memory may be made to the Verde Christian School, 102 S.
