Grace H. Davis, 78, of Cottonwood died February 24. She was born June 7, 1931 in Atkins, Arkansas, the daughter of James Claude Scott, Jr. and Minnie Fay (Kennedy) Scott. She was a graduate of Magnet High School and received her Registered Nurses degree from Northern Arizona University. Her career in nursing was at Flagstaff Medical Center and during the 70s \u0026 80s worked at Marcus J. Lawrence Hospital (now Verde Valley Medical Center). Mrs. Davis enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and quilting. She loved her little dog Missy that she leaves to her daughter. Her husband, Joel Dean Davis preceded her in death. She leaves a son Marvin Davis (Mary) of Chandler; daughters Donna J. Davis of Cottonwood and Roseann Smith (Tory) of Reno, Nevada; brothers James Claude Scott, Jr. (Venita) of Mitchell, Indiana and R.A. Scott of Jones Mill, Arkansas; sisters Mildred Capps of Jones Mills, Arkansas, Zelma Estes of Alvin, Texas and Betty Gardiner of Malvern, Arkansas; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 3 at the Westcott Funeral Home from 9-10 AM. Burial will be held later at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
