Guadalupe "Lupe" P. Macias, 85, resident of Cottonwood, Arizona, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2007. She was born in Mexico on February 13, 1920 to Romaldo and Bonifacia (Medina) Perez. Lupe was very proud of being awarded "Grandmother of the Year". She was also a proud member of both the Hispanic Choir and the Legion of Mary, with the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lupe G. Macias. She leaves behind her sons, Thomas Macias with his wife, Mary of Superior, Arizona, and Richard Macias with his wife, Kristan of Cottonwood, Arizona; her daughter, Martha Velazquez with her husband, Ernesto of Mesa, Arizona; her sister, Lucy Mondragon of Tepic, Mexico; 12 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at Westcott Funeral Home, in Cottonwood, from 5:00-7:00pm, with the Rosary at 7:00pm. The Funeral Mass will follow Friday morning, January 5, 2007 at 10:30am at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Chruch. An online guestbook is available at www.westcottfuneralhome.com
