Helen J. Byrd

Helen J. Byrd, 91, of Cottonwood died November 22. She was born December 29, 1916 in Rush Creek, Arkansas, the daughter of Lon and Sarah (Reading) Setzer. She was a member of Verde Valley Christian Church. She enjoyed family, friends and church. Her other interests were singing silly songs, canning, cooking and Sunday dinners. She heas left her family with many treasured memories. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John W. "Jack" Byrd; two brothers, Leonard and Orin; four sisters, Jenny, Bea, Alma and Lucille. Mrs. Byrd leaves two daughters, Doris Ragan (Bobby) of Cottonwood and Joyce Cook (Jim) of Cornville; a brother O. D. Setzer of Montana; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 25 in the Verde Valley Christian Church at 11:00 AM.
