Helen Ialeen Postill Hawken January 15, 1919 - January 5, 2016 Cottonwood, AZ Helen was born to Harry and Beatrice (Campbell) Postill in Petrolia, Ontario, Canada. Immigrating in 1923 to the US, she was raised in Port Huron, MI where she graduated from Port Huron High School. She met Lloyd Charles Hawken (1916-1988) during high school and they were married in San Diego where Lloyd was stationed in the US Navy aboard the USS Yorktown on July 31, 1939. After his honorable discharge in Nov that year they moved to Miami, FL where Lloyd started working for Pan American Airways. In May 1941 they were transferred to Rio de Janiero, Brazil. During the next eleven years Helen gave birth to daughter Pamela Grace (1. Sullivan 2. Williams) 1945, and Lloyd Charles, Jr. 1947. On arriving back in the US in 1952 Helen discovered daughter MaryLouise was going to be born in December. They subsequently lived in Tucson, AZ, Long Beach, CA (where granddaughter, Catherine Anne Sullivan, was born to Pamela in 1962), aboard the Hawk (30 ft sailboat) sailing down the coast of Mexico and through the Panama Canal and up to Miami, FL where they stayed until 1974. They left Florida for Santa Barbara, CA and lived there until 1984 when they moved to Cottonwood, AZ to be near their grandson, Colin Nathaniel Hawken born 1982. In 1992 Helena Grace VanRhee was born to Catherine. Helen was predeceased by Lloyd Sr in 1988, her brother-in-law Charles Lauzon in 2009, and her sister, Marguerite Agnes Postill Lauzon in 2010. Helen also leaves behind her son-in-law, Dale Williams, and daughter-in-law, Charlotte Pizer Hawken and three nieces - Marcia Lauzon, Ellen Swan (James), and Susan Lauzon.
