Herbert Ginger, 80, of Cottonwood died August 31, 2010. He was born May 27, 1930 in Evensville, Indiana, the son of Herbert and Elizabeth Ginger. He was a graduate of Male High and received his Masters Degree from Western Kentucky University. He served his country in the Air Forces in both Korea and Vietnam and was discharged as a Colonel. He taught for 27 years in the Brown County Schools English in High School and and Junior High History. He was a Scottish Rite 32nd degree Mason. He was a member of the Catholic Church. He was a renowned historian and military coin and antique collector. He was also an artist with a love of Arizona history. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith Ginger. Mr. Ginger is survived by his wife of 20 years, Gen Ginger; a son Al Ginger; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 5 at 2 PM at Westcott Funeral Home.
