On Sunday morning, May 11th, Harry Carlisle passed away in his sleep at the age of 80 years, after a 20 month battle with cancer. Harry did not feel pain and was comforted in his final days by several family members. Harry is survived by his six children, Jeff, Kim, Kevin, Lisa, Lindsay and Adam all from back East. Two brothers: Ernie from Oceanside, California and Jimmy in Oakridge, New Jersey, and eight grandchildren. Harry was born in Englewood, New Jersey on April 15, 1923 and entered the Navy during World War II with his two brothers. After the war, he worked as a professional photographer for Nabisco for over 30 years before retiring to Hopewell, Virginia. After three years, Harry moved west for the beautiful outdoors of Cottonwood, a photographer\u0027s delight, where he lived for six happy years. He will be remembered by his many friends and family as a hard-working, caring and generous soul who loved this beautiful earth. Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, May 13th at St. Thomas of the Valley Episcopal Church in Clarkdale. Pastor Derk Manley officiated, burial was in Valley View Cemetery in Clarkdale, VFW Post #7400 provided military honors.
