Ida M. Smith of Cottonwood, AZ, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013. She was 80 years old. Ida was born on March 3, 1933 in McKee, KY, to Charles and Syntha (Sparks) Crank. She received her AA degree from Glendale Community College, making the Dean\u0027s List and the Honors Forum with a 4.0 GPA. She was also a Phi Beta Kappa and MCC treasurer and in Who\u0027s Who. She attended Valley Cathedral and was the treasurer for Aglow. Ida was a homemaker, a real estate agent, a landlord and a cook. She enjoyed reading and storytelling, writing, music and board games. "We will miss your stories, humor, laughter, smiles, wisdom and strength. So many people called you "Mom." Maranatha -- The Lord Cometh!" Ida is survived by her husband of 52 years, Floyd Smith of Cottonwood; her daughters, Brenda Smith and Diana Smith of Cottonwood; Syndia Norvel of Ohio and her "grand-dogs" Joey and Jesse. A visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 25, 2013 from 5-7 p.m.. at Westcott Funeral Home, located at 1013 E. Mingus Ave, Cottonwood, AZ 86326.
