Iolene Steiner Mouton Preston was born at home in Jamestown, Ohio, on July 29, 1926, to Purl and Mapel (Clark) Steiner. She joined a family of 5 brothers. Later 2 sisters and another brother joined the family. Iolene attended Ross Township Consolidated School for 12 years and graduated in 1944 as Valedictorian. She was credit manager of Montgomery Ward for 10 years. She attended the American Institute of Banking for 2 years, working for banks in Ohio and California. Iolene married Guillaume Mouton in 1957. To that union a son, Brent Nolan, was born in December 1960. Guillaume preceded her in death in March 1981. Iolene became a realtor after purchasing their first home in Corona, California in 1962. In 1964 she became a broker and sales manager of a real estate office in Norco, California until retiring in 1984. God blessed her in uniting her in marriage to Volney (Pete) Preston in January, 1984. They loved to travel and enjoyed a 54 week honeymoon, seeing 17 states, including Alaska, and 9 Canadian Provinces. They moved to Cottonwood, Arizona in July, 1985, building their retirement home there. They have enjoyed this wonderful State and have made many friends in the area. They were members, and she was treasurer, of Cottonwood Road Runners Club for years until health problems prevented dancing. She has been a member and held many offices at the local TOPS chapter and the local chapter of Support Group for Chronic Diseases. Survivors include her husband, Pete, of 30 years; Son Brent Nolan Mouton and his wife Carmela, of Yorba Linda, California; step granddaughter Michelle Lindstrom of Orange, California; step great grandsons Brendon Nolan, Ryan Jason, and Nolan Gianryan; beloved stepdaughter, Deena (Dennis) Patriarca and granddaughter Brittany of Oakton, Virginia; brother Clark (Kay) Steiner of Redding, California; adopted daughter Patti (Bob) Casey, granddaughter Karen (Gary) and great grandson Cooper, of West Hills, California. Preceding her in death were her parents, five brothers and two sisters. Iolene loved and was involved in crafts of all kinds. She loved helping other people and spent a lot of her time taking care of those less fortunate. She loved to smell the roses. All of her life she was active in her love for the Lord, and is now with Him and all of her family and friends who are welcoming her.
