Iona Browning, a long time resident of Cornville passed away on November 30th at her home in Cornville. Iona was born March 20, 1929 on a farm in eastern Colorado to Herman and Mary (Nothdurft) Reitmeyer. In March 1948 she married Herb Browning. They lived in various places in Colorado until 1985 when they moved to Cornville. She was a member of the Methodist Church all of her life. Most recently she was a member of the Mountain View United Methodist Church where she served on several committees. She also taught Sunday School for many years. She worked for a florist, served on the election board for many years, wrote hunting and fishing licenses during big games season in Colorado for many years and did a lot of baby sitting. She loved children and gardening. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi since 1962. Iona was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Bill, three sisters Anna, Emma and Bernice and a daughter Patty Sue. She leaves her husband Herb, daughters, Penny (Andy) Planeta and Cindy (Richard) Phillips, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a brother Herman (Carol).
