Irene Rose Masters, 80, of Camp Verde, a mother and housewife died August 27. She was born December 5, 1923 in Milford, Utah and grew up in Chino Valley. Because her husband Bob (deceased) was a Navy man, Irene had the opportunity to travel the U.S. from coast to coast and also live on Guam in a Quonset hut. Once out of the Navy, they made their home in Phoenix. Irene worked at Washington High School in the attendance office. She is survived by daughter, Karen; son, Steve; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 3 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Camp Verde from 10-11 AM. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery in Phoenix at 4PM. Donations in her memory may be made to the Northern Arizona Hospice, 269 S. Candy Lane, Cottonwood, AZ 86326.
