James Bruce Budd, 72, resident of Sedona, Arizona, passed away Monday, August 21, 2006 in Cottonwood, Arizona. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona on May 5, 1934 to James Alfred and Esthereen Odessa (Dunegan) Budd. During his youth, James attended Long Beach St. College for three years. Professionally, he was owner and operator of his own Bakery for twenty years; the last nine years (1968-1977) being the Uptown Sedona Bakery. Then in 1977, after having learned jewelry and the silversmith trade, he owned and operated a new business - Jim's Fine Silver and Leather - and remained in this line of business until his retirement in 2004. Besides being the owner of two successful businesses, Jim was also an accomplished horseman, scuba diver, and private pilot. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and restoring old cars. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, James and Esthereen Budd; and his brother, Robert Paris Budd. He leaves behind his son, Michael A. Budd with his wife Melinda of Cottonwood, Arizona; his daughters, Julie A. Littleton with her husband Jay of Pawnee, Oklahoma, Laurie Jean Gilliam of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Crystal A. Bronk of Medina, Ohio; his sister, Jean Rose Shook with her husband Jim of Grants Pass, Oregon; his sister-in-law, Marcy Budd; 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 nephews and 3 nieces.
