James Thomas Hills, 83, resident of Rimrock, Arizona, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2006. He was born on June 3, 1922 in Los Angeles, California to James and Neva (Brown) Dooley. After the death of his father, his family moved to Chicago, Illinois, where he spent the remainder of his childhood and adolescence. His mother Neva, married Fred Hills while James was a boy, and he adopted James and his sister. He attended the Chicago\u0027s Teachers College where he received his Degree in Education. While living in Chicago, he met the love of his life. Following his departure from the United States Navy, where he served his country during WWII, as Lt. Jr. Grade, he moved to California. It was in California that they were married and raised their family. It was during this time that James earned his Master\u0027s Degree. James was employed as a teacher in Southern California for 25 years, retiring from Upland High School in 1980. After James retired from teaching, he and his wife once again moved, making their final home together in Arizona. Now having called it home for 26 years. James was a loving and dedicated husband to his wife of nearly 56 years. He was also the devoted father of 2 daughters and 1 son.
