James R. Jaap, died peacefully November 8, 2011. Jim was born June 16, 1928 in McDonald, PA. Jim served in the US Marine Corps and was a WWII veteran. He worked for Bethlehem Steel and after 33 years of service, he retired to Chandler, AZ. The past 11 years he resided in Clarkdale, AZ and was very active in the Verde Valley Presbyterian Church as an Elder, Deacon, and Treasurer. He enjoyed golf, hunting, and fishing. He leaves behind the love of his life of 63 years, Jean M. Jaap, a son James M. Jaap and companion Jayne Matson of Cottonwood, AZ, and daughter JoAnn Hironimus (wife of Charles) of Ligonier, PA, grandsons; Scott C. Hironimus of Pleasantville, PA, Brett D Hironimus of Beaver Falls, PA, Christopher S. Jaap of San Francisco, CA, Timothy J. Jaap of Scottsdale, AZ, and 3 great grandchildren; Olivia, Ian, and Gavin Hironimus. Services will be held at the Verde Valley Presbyterian Church in Cottonwood, AZ at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2011.
