James -Sam- Norris

James Evans Norris, "Sam", of Cottonwood passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2014. He was 89 years old. He was born on September 12, 1924 in Phoenix, Arizona to James and Laura Evans. He served his country in WWII in the Army. He received his degree in engineering from Arizona State University, going on to work for TRW Space Lab as an engineer for the space shuttles. He was an avid golfer who smoked a pipe. He loved his collections of antique cars and riding dune buggies through the Arizona desert. He is survived by his wife and companion of 30 years, Anne Norris of Cottonwood; his son John, his daughter, Jean; his step-daughter Paula and his granddaughter Bobbi Jean.
