James Edward \u0027\u0027Ed\u0027\u0027 Sprueill, 85, of Camp Verde passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2003. He was born in Madill, Oklahoma on March 4, 1918. He was the son of the late Willie Andrew Sprueill and Minnie Lee Berry Sprueill. A beloved husband and father, Ed was an Army Veteran of World War II having served in the South Pacific. He was a retired crane operator and a member of Local #428 of the Operating Engineers. He is survived by his wife Georgia P. Sprueill of Camp Verde, Arizona; two daughters: Elaine K. Sprueill of Camp Verde, Arizona and Joyce Vineyard of Davis, Oklahoma; four sons: Rodney J. Eggleston of Flagstaff, Arizona; Wayne Sprueill, Don Sprueill, and Bill Sprueill all of Blackwell Oklahoma; two sisters: Lula Stone of 29 Palms, California; Hazel Schiebert of Tulsa, Oklahoma and all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Carl A. G. Deas. Ed\u0027s loss is immeasurable and he will be missed deeply by his family and friends. A visitation will be held on Monday, May 26th, from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the Westcott Funeral Home 1013 E. Mingus Avenue, Cottonwood, Arizona. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 27th at 11:00 A.M.at the funeral home and burial will take place on Wednesday, May 28th at 1:00 P.M. at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery in Phoenix.
