James Frank Wood, 92, passed away at home in Cottonwood on September 9, 2012. He was born on December 31, 1919. He moved to Arizona from Oklahoma as a teenager and in 1940 married Clara L. Ferra of Prescott. They were married 42 years and had four children. James was preceded in death by wife Clara; sons James L. and Franklyn J.; grandson Eon and stepsons Timothy L. and Lester J. James served in the military. He worked in Arizona, California and Washington as a truck driver for Carpenter and Millwright. He remarried in 1985 to Joan. James is survived by wife Joan and dog Trucker; daughter Frances JoAnn Willis and husband Garry; daughter Cheryl D. Flenner and husband Sam; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren and brother Bill C. There are no services planned.
