Janet Mary Stocum, 85, of Camp Verde died October 10. She was August 10, 1919 in Rochester, New York. She graduated from Nazareth Academy in Rochester, New York. Mrs. Stocum worked as a fruit farmer and a breeder for Dobermans in Wolcott, New York. She was a former member of Sacred Heart Cathedral. A life long learner, she was interested in farming, livestock and domestic operations. She was preceded in death by her husband John L. Stocum and a brother Robert J. Poole. Surviving are two sons, Gerald Donnelly of Webster, New York and Hugh Robert Stocum of North Carolina; two daughters, Margaret Mary Phelps of Chesapeake, Virginia and Barbara Ann Chavez of Cottonwood; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 13 in the Immaculate Conception Church at 10 AM. Burial will Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rochester, New York on October 19 at 1 PM.
