Jay Dean Vaughn, 77 of Cottonwood, passed away on December 2, 2012. He was born on July 19, 1935 in Pueblo, Colorado to Rolla Clem Vaughn and Jessica Burns Vaughn. Jay attended Central High. He worked as a Construction Superintendent. He was a major player in the development of hotels and casinos in Las Vegas, NV as well as Humana Hospitals including Mayo Clinics in several states. Jay was a 50 year Union Member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 1780. Jay loved gardening and cooking and enjoying his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was the most generous, loving husband and father and was admired and honored by all who knew him. Jay is survived by wife of 59 years, Nancy Vaughn; son Lennie Rol Vaughn (Janet) of Washington; daughters Vicki Joan Utzman (Wesley) of Tennessee, Jaynee Lynn Vaughn of Arizona and Karen Leah Morton (Charles) of Arizona; half-brother Jerry White of Colorado; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
